Christmas Around The World
We are learning about Christmas traditions around the world. Today I learned that in Italy people don't eat and drink that much because it is a special day of prayer! Italy has something like Santa but instead it is a girl and she doesn't have a slay and reindeer, she has a broomstick and she flies around and drops presents like Santa. Her name is Befana.

I enjoyed reading your christmas post. I thought it was very interesting about the Italian people believing that Santa is a female and she flies on a broom instead of a sleigh. It’s very different to what we believe in here in New Zealand! Christmas lunches and dinners are my favourite things about Christmas to me. What do you and your family do for Christmas?
