Persuasive Writing!

In writing we have been learning about Persuasive Writing! We had to decide if Miss McLeod should get a cat or a dog for a pet. We are learning about persuasive vocabulary and we had to highlight them in our work. I think Miss McLeod should get a dog! Please read my persuasive writing to find out why.

Collaborative Success Criteria
  • The correct structure of a persuasive text including an introduction, with a hook and your opinion, 3 body paragraphs and a conclusion.
  • Persuasive vocabulary and phrases that convince people
  • The reasons why with supporting ideas

Barktastic Dogs

Did you know dogs can be very loyal? I believe that Miss McLeod should get a dog, because dogs can be playful easy to take on walks, also it can bring you the newspaper and other stuff if you are too lazy! But cats are lazy!

First of all dogs are trained, and the tricks they can do are pawsome! Dogs can do rolls all over the ground, they can sit, stay, fetch, lie down, and also hop.

Secondly, you know dogs have lots of fun inside of them, so they are very playful! The things that the dogs can do better than cats are, chase a red dot, and they chase people running because they think they are playing chase.

The last reason why you should buy cuddly dogs are, they are very protective, they can be very good body guards and they chase away bad people!

In conclusion I think Miss McLeod should buy a cute dog because they are trained, playful, and protective. In my opinion dogs are the greatest pets, they are barktastic dogs!
